Copying synopses from other sites & adding artist links[edit]

First of all, let me welcome you to the team at DramaWiki. We are always in need of enthusiastic and dedicated contributors to maintain the site. So, thank you for your efforts.

When creating new show pages, please do not directly copy the synopses from other sites, such as HanCinema. All synopses should unique and be written in your own words. If you are not comfortable doing that, you can always leave the section blank for someone else to add later, using the code nosynopsis .

When adding new cast or production staff members to show pages, please don't forget to add the show title to each corresponding person's page under their TV Shows credits. These entries are not automatically created when you add them to a show page and unfortunately must be added manually. It's best to do them at the same time, so that they aren't forgotten. Also, make sure to check that you linked to the correct person. Many Koreans have the similar names and there are often multiple people with the same name in the database. You don't want to link to an actor, when it should be a director with the same name.

For any cast or crew member who currently doesn't yet have a Artist's page in DramaWiki, add the person's name in Hangul in parentheses next to their name - example: Cha Jung Won (차정원). Given all of the possible spelling variations to names, the Hangul name makes it easier to positively identify the artist and find them again once the Artist's page is created at a later date. Reminder about adding new show titles to cast & crew pages[edit]

Hi. When creating new show pages, please don't forget to add the new show title to the artist page for each member of the cast and crew. These entries are not automatically and must be added manually. It's always best to do them at the same time, so that they don't get forgotten.

Also, periods should not be added at the end of each line in a show's Details section.

Be careful not to add extraneous spaces to links and file names.

Examples:

 • vs.
 • Nam Ki Ae vs. Nam Ki Ae
 • vs.

While this is usually not a big deal, as the system will often ignore these extra spaces, but in others instances it will point to a completely different file location.
