Synopsis
Gu Chengze, adopted son of Old Mrs. Gu , was tasked to groom her grandson Gu Chengyun into the next heir to take over the family's corporate organization. To do so, he becomes Gu Chengyun's assistant. During this time, he meets fashion designer Li Yanshu, who was Gu Chengyun's ex-girlfriend and was a very important person in his life. Gu Zhengze then recruits Li Yanshu into the company, thinking it would serve as motivation for Gu Chengyun to work hard. When Gu Chengyun sees Li Yanshu, he decides to pursue her again. Meanwhile, Old Mrs. Gu got to know about this and tasked Gu Chengze to break the two apart. Gu Zhengze and Li Yanshu then began to fall in love.

- Shen Cang Mei who authored the source novel also wrote the screenplay in collaboration with You Er.
- Filming lasted three months from August 2, 2016 to October 31, 2016 in Beijing, China.
- It is part of the dramas that were affected by the Hallyu Ban, an unofficial ban that was in effect in China to restrict all forms of Hallyu aka Korean Wave due to the political disagreement between China and Korea over THAAD. On October 31, 2017, there were reports that both sides were making a move to mend diplomatic ties and news that the virtual ban has been lifted came days later.
- My Amazing Boyfriend actor Kim Tae Hwan was originally casted as the main lead and even appeared with the cast during a press conference. However, he was replaced by Jiang Chao due to the Hallyu Ban.
