Seung Il, a student, struggles to pay the bills when his father's job is not enough to pay his family's medical debt, so he takes a second job pushing people onto the subway with his friend, Jung Hwan.  Jung Hwan meets and develops a crush on Mi Ryung, who recently arrived from China.  She has purchased an insurance policy from Hyun Woo, an intern fighting for a permanent position, who works with Suk Hyun, a middle manager who is nevertheless not even invited to most meetings.  To keep moving forward, they all must make their own compromises and sacrifices.
