At the same time Waku and Aoshima are voluntold to help on a stakeout of a potental drug trafficker. They start to set up shop in an apartment outside of the suspect's apartment, but are interupted by one of the other apratment dwellers, where Aoshima quickly starts making up stories about why he and Waku are in the apartment. Meanwhile back at the station, everyone is lineing up to get an autograph from Tomoe. When we head back to the stake-out Waku starts to talk about the one case that has plagued his career. His partner tried to go after a suspect alone and ended up being stabbed. A woman enters the apartment and the duo realize it's Yukino the girl from the first episode. Later on we are told that she is also a suspected drug smugler, something that Aoshima refuses to believe it; Aoshima gets a call from Muroi who needs help in a case involving a mudered salesmen, Aoshima believes that there was a side-deal going on and tells Muroi to examine the accounts of the victem and a recent account. Their meeting is ended when Muroi gets a call. A parcel is delivered to Yukino's apartment when the police inspect the parcel they find two cans of coffee with little packages inside, which tests confirm it is pot. She is taken to the station where she tells Aoshima that she was looking after the apartment for a friend from L.A, who she has seen or heard from. Her boyfriend, Iwase, is a pot dealer and tried to get her to smuggle drugs from him. We find out that Natuska, the girl who owned the apartment was caught at the airport, but that Iwase got away; so they take Yukino to the main headquarters. Aoshima gets her to hit him so he can arrest her for assaulting an officer and keep her at Wangan Station. The episode ends with Aoshima walking back to office determined in his course of action.

  • In 2005 two "spin off" movies were made. Both spin off movies do not revolve around Oda Yuji's character, Aoshima, nor do the movies revolve around the Wangan Police Station. However, they revolve around two characters from the series, Mashita and Murori.
