During the Northern and Southern dynasties, the Duke Jing of Northern Qi was assassinated. His daughter, Mai Hui decided to conceal her identity and join the army to take revenge for her father and country. Under the guidance of Shang Yizhi, the son of the former Crown prince of Northern Qi, she transforms from an innocent and lively girl to an intelligent and resilient warrior. Through the battles and difficulties she encounter in the army, Mai Hui realizes that war should not be used as a personal tool to achieve one's wishes, but to protect her country. However, she faces a dilemma when she falls in love with Chang Yuqing, the commander of the opposing troops. Mai Hui eventually sacrifices her personal relationship for her country, fulfilling her vision of protecting the country.

Synopsis
