<!--Cheng Xiao Si (Cyndi Wang) is a naive, ordinary and candid girl. After being dumped for the 17th time, she is convinced that she is cursed, because her relationships never last longer than 3 months. On the day she was dumped she bumped into He Qun (Nicholas Teo), who was running away from paparazzi. When they fell to the ground, they ended up accidentally kissing. The paparazzi captured the kiss on film. He Qun then grabs Xiao Si so she doesn't say something bad to the paparazzi.

the headline is "Young Heavenly King cheats, kisses secret lover on the street." He Qun's manager Vincent is worried about He Qun's future career, and denies that He Qun and Rita were ever involved and that Xiao Shi is He Qun's real girlfriend and that the two had being dating for a year and were also engaged.

This drama is lighthearted and very enjoyable. Plus the music is also very happy, which lightens the mood of the drama even more.

Ah Zhe (Gino) is He Qun's younger brother and also the reason Rita left He Qun. Rita had grown up with He Qun and Ah Zhe, but she had always been in love with Ah Zhe, despite him being in love with Xiao Rou. Six years ago when Ah Zhe, He Qun, Rita, Xiao Rou, and two others went on a trip together to practice their music, a tragic accident occured. While crossing a flooded stream, He Qun loses his grip on Xiao Rou's hand, and she falls in the water. Xiao Rou was not found. Ah Zhe blames He Qun and swears to never call him his brother ever again. Ah Zhe makes He Qun leave their band and that's why He Qun has a separate solo career as an idol.

First off, there are many similarities to the Korean Drama Full House, featuring Rain and Song Hye Kyo. Both presented a love contract between a famous star and a commoner. The main girl characters are both pure in heart and have good intentions. The media served as the antagonist of both dramas, although more expressed in Smiling Pasta than Full House. The difference is that Xiao Shi wanted to impress her family so she entered the love contract whereas Han Ji Eun needed her "Full House" back. There was a conflict between the two brothers (Young-Jae considered Min-Hyuk his brother) and the girl the main character liked initially left them to be with the other guy. Both dramas explored the central themes very well – love, influence of media, and power of family.

Complicating matters further, Ah Zhe is also Xiao Si's first crush. She fell in love when he stopped a javelin from piercing her skull on her first day of university. Ah Zhe rejected her. Xiao Si swore that one day he will see what's so great about her and will fall in love with her.
+
Let's start with Nicholas Teo's performance. He is a big shot star, and he acted so. He can show his mischievous side as well as his caring side. A native Malaysian, even though his Mandarin was very good, you could still get a sense that he was not a native of Taiwan. This served a little problem because his accent and his brother's accent were different even though they came from the same families. I think this part made the drama less credible, but it did not affect the overall quality of the drama.

Due to all the drama from the announcement of engagement, He Qun was forced to transfer to a different university. But as fate would have it He Qun ends up being transferred to Xiao Si's university... which is also the same university that Ah Zhe & Rita go to.
+
Cyndi Wang's performance was very convincing as well. She portrayed an innocent girl, although a little unsophisticated at times. She acted very cute and adorable, just as her character ought supposed to be.

After a time He Qun falls in love with Xiao Si and Xiao Si also has feelings for him but both don´t notice that and a funny lovestory begins..... -->
+
The other two characters, Gino and Zhang Hong Qiao complemented the drama very well. Gino was fierce and unforgiving, but also has a caring side for people close to him. And Hong Qiao's character, the "evil other-woman" was carried out flawlessly. She was not too scheming, which was the right amount for the drama, or else it would have changed the feel of the drama.

The songs from the OST mirrored the happy image the drama sought to give. The introduction of the drama illustrated the importance of smiling, one of the central themes of the story. The slow and sometimes somber songs depicted the tragedies in the drama, which was portrayed perfectly. If you like happy music, this is something you should get.

Overall rating: 4.5/5. Definitely worth watching, the performances of the actors will make you want to get to the next episode and finish the whole thing. I know I stayed up until 3 AM to watch it, and even then I forced myself to sleep =].
As this drama is still airing, this will not be a completely coherent and balanced review - it might get better....or it might get worse. Currently, there's a very strong suggestion of "Full House" about the series, as that drama also featured a idol's arranged marriage and the plucky girl who eventually won his heart. Nicholas Teo even looks a little like Rain. The inclusion of the bitter brother and the fickle ex-girlfriend further round out the tried and true formula of romantic comedies, and the viewer can only expect more love triangle (square?) entanglements as the lead quartet figure out each other's hearts.
