Goals
I primarily try to update drama's I'm watching both on IMDB and here and in the process this allows me to learn more about the culture, language and drama ecosystem. I'm watching most on Viki and Netflix as other streaming services are either not subtitled or not available for my region.
Templates
I find that copying other page sections is prone to errors and subtle differences over time. So I'm slowly adding templates to standardize sections that can be standardized:
- Chinese actor / actress profile: Template:CAProfile (done). If you add the link to your bookmarks, you have a ready to copy template at your fingertips, with documentation.
- Same for korean / japanese etc. The differences will be subtle and perhaps can be abstracted using a parent template.
- Series details: take lessons from actor profiles, then do the same with series details.
- A list item template for series / movies: some pages show "as blabla", some don't. If you have a template you can standardize this. Concept:
{{SeriesRole|title=Handsome Siblings|role=Hua Wu Que|year=2020}}, output:- Handsome Siblings as Hua Wu Que (2020)
Note that it's not my goal to enforce these. I will use them for new pages and hopefully others find them useful as well.
