Synopsis

During the Northern and Southern dynasties, the people were being ravaged by beasts so they began cultivating as a means of self-protection. Lu Ping, who possesses the rare ability of attaining the enlightenment of six souls, was trapped within Shan Hai Tower since young. By luck, he escaped from Shan Hai Tower with his foster sister, Su Tang, and was taken in by the master of Zhai Feng Hall at Chen Qiao Town. He begins training under his new teacher, Guo Youdao and senior Yan Xifan. During his training, he meets the proud and frank daughter of a general, Qin Sang; as well as her confidante and attendant, Ling Ziyan. Meanwhile, the envoys of Shan Hai Tower has arrived at Chen Qiao Town in search of Lu Ping. Mo Lin, a tactless and impulsive assassin sneaked into Zhai Feng Hall to further investigate. To find clues about Shan Hai Tower, Lu Ping along with his new found friends decides to attend the Soul Enlightenment Gathering. The six youths thus became each other's companions and begin on a journey towards awakening. All is going well until a vision reveals Lu Ping's relationship to an unresolved crime in the martial arts world of a decade earlier.
