Synopsis
Ono Makoto, a police officer, discovers a strange young woman standing on a boat in the middle of Shinobazu Pond in Ueno Park one winter day. She has been staring at the water for a long time, dressed in bloodstained clothes. Makoto rushes to her aid, believing she is about to commit suicide. This young woman claims she has amnesia and has no recollection of who she is or where she came from. Having no place to stay, Makoto feels sorry for her and takes her to live at his parents' place, a tofu shop run by an elderly couple. When asked, Makoto conceals that she has amnesia and gives her the name "Koike Shinobu" based on the pond. There is mystery surrounding her, followed by sadness and fear as the truth comes to light. What is Shinobu's true identity, and why is there a "cameraman" following her in the shadows?
