Synopsis

Hatch while traveling alone looking for his mother, he wanders into a human town. There he meets a girl named Amyi that can talk to and understand insects.

They help Kunekune the caterpillar who was attacked by preying mantis Kamakichi of the Sepia Town forest. Hatch becomes friends with Amyi and Kunekune, and his companions. Through Hatch Amyi also becomes friends with many other insects.

But the good times don't last long, because the forest is attacked by wasps.
