Administrators, also known as sysops or just admins, are DramaWiki editors who have access to technical features that help with maintenance.

Admin Tools

  • Page deletion - The ability to remove (and undelete) pages, including images, and their history.
  • Page protection - To prevent normal users from editing a wiki page. To make a protected page editable for everyone it must be unprotected first.
  • Blocking - A method by which admins may technically prevent users from editing DramaWiki to prevent damage or disruption. Users can be blocked by IP-Address or by their user name, either temporarily for a defined period or even indefinitely (= life-time ban).
  • Patrolling - A way of coordinating with other sysops, to ensure that every edit of the wiki has been checked over by a trusted user.
  • Rollback - Every user can revert edits. The rollback feature is a fast one-click-method to revert edits.

1 Bureaucrats are admins who additionally have the ability to apply user rights. Thus, they can promote users to be sysops (and demote sysops to normal users).
