Yamada Takayuki is a prolific actor in Japan. At the age of 15 he was discovered by his Talent Agency Stardust and made his debut in Psychometrer Eiji 2. His subsequent portrayal as the "cool" younger brother of the heroine in the hit NHK Asadora Drama Churasan won him wide recognition.
He is best known for his starring roles as Matsumoto Sakutaro in the 2004 melancholic drama Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu and as the computer geek in 2005 movie Densha Otoko.
