About Takayuki
Yamada Takayuki is one of the most popular and prolific actors in Japan. At the age of 15 he was discovered by his Talent Agency Stardust and subsequently made his debut in Psychometrer Eiji 2 ('99). Won recognition for his portrayal as the "cool" younger brother of the heroine in the hit NHK Asadora Drama Churasan
Perhaps, his biggest role to date would have to be starring as Matsumoto Sakutaro in the 2004 TBS drama Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu and stamped his name as a melodramatic actor.
In 2005, the mega-hit movie Densha Otoko made him a household name all over Asia. Recent projects include his latest drama Taiyo no Uta and the movie Tegami, both with co-star Sawajiri Erika. --written by YT 22:35, 10 Mar 2007 (CST)
