About Takayuki

Yamada Takayuki is one of the most popular and prolific actor in Japan. At the age of 15 he was discovered by his Talent Agency Stardust and subsequently made his debut in Psychometrer Eiji 2 ('99). Won recognition for his portrayal as the "cool" younger brother of the heroine in the hit NHK Asadora Drama Churasan. He was a major reason why the Drama has been so successful, it has generated 3 sequels to date which all returned to air in prime time, Churasan 4 is in the works.

In 2005, the mega-hit movie Densha Otoko made him a household name all over Asia.
Upcoming projects include this summers highly anticipated drama Taiyo no Uta and film Tagami, both with co-star Sawajiri Erika.
