First of all, let me welcome you to the team at DramaWiki. We are always in need of enthusiastic and dedicated contributors to maintain the site. So, thank you for your efforts.
When adding new cast or production to show pages, please don't forget to add the drama title to each corresponding person's page under their TV Shows credits. These links are not automatically created when you add them to a show page and unfortunately must be added manually. It's best to do them at the same time, so that they aren't forgotten. Also, make sure to check that you linked to the correct person. Many Koreans have the similar names and there are often multiple people with the same name in the database.
Also, for any cast or crew member who currently doesn't yet have a Artist's page in DramaWiki, add the person's name in Hangul in parentheses next to their name - example: [[Cha Jung Won]] (차정원). Given all of the possible spelling variations to names, the Hangul name makes it easier to positively identify the artist and find them again once the Artist's page is created at a later date. Also, all new KDrama pages should include category tags at the bottom of the page. At the very least, you should use: [[Category:KDrama]] and [[Category:KDrama2018]] and/or [[Category:KDrama2019]]. If the broadcast network is known, include the appropriate category for that as well, such as [[Category:KBS]], [[Category:MBC]], [[Category:SBS]], [[Category:TVN]] , etc... --FritzB (talk) 14:06, 14 October 2018 (PDT)
Creating pages for unconfirmed dramas
Focus on Dramas
While it is certainly okay to add musical artists and groups to the database, please remember that DramaWiki is a first and foremost a Drama site, not a Kpop fansite. All pages should really focus on dramas. Extensive details of an artist's music career (ie. discography, chart rankings, variety or radio show appearances, concerts, etc...) are not really relevant to the scope this site.
To that end, please do not create interwiki links (links within DramaWiki) to non-drama TV shows, such as Variety shows. Variety shows fall outside the scope of the site and such pages will likely never be made. If you like, you can create links to outside sites, such Wikipedia for such shows (as we often do for movies), but it is certainly not required. The same goes for musical artists, who have no direct relevance to any dramas (ie. they have never acted in a drama or appeared on a drama soundtrack). Pages for those artists will also likely never be made.
Double check all links to make sure they link to the correct artist or show. For example, Seo Young links to an actress, not the member of HELLOVENUS, and Boyfriend links to a currently airing drama, not the Kpop group, Boyfriend.
Also, please avoid adding fancruft trivia - artist's feelings, favorite colors, foods, people, best friends, dating gossip, etc. For additional guidance on appropriate content, please refer to DramaWiki is not and Trivia/Notes.
About artist profiles
The About section of an artist's page should really be just a brief description of the artist's career. Typical content may include a few highlights of their career, such as most notable roles, etc. This section is just a summary overview; details of an artist's background or career can be included on a subpage (More About...).--FritzB (talk) 07:56, 11 November 2018 (PST)
