Public Television Service (財團法人公共電視文化事業基金會), commonly known as PTS, is Taiwan’s primary public service broadcaster. Established under the Public Television Act, it is an independent, non-commercial media organization funded to serve the public interest. PTS officially launched on July 1, 1998, and is known for producing programming that reflects Taiwan’s cultural diversity and social issues.

Currently, Public Television Service provides television programming through its terrestrial channel PTS Main Channel (公共電視 / 公視), along with several additional channels and services under the public broadcasting system. These include PTS Taigi Channel (公視台語台), PTS XS (公視兒少台), PTS+ (公視+), and Hakka TV (客家電視台), offering a range of news, drama, cultural, and educational content.
